HB0222 Vehicle Laws - Driving in Right-Hand Lanes - Interstate Highways in Rural Areas
This bill will require the driver of a vehicle traveling slower than the general speed of traffic on the interstate
highways in designated rural areas to drive in the right-hand lanes and to only use the left-hand lane for the
purpose of passing a slower vehicle. The bill prohibits the issuance of a citation for a violation of this Act, and
requires the Motor Vehicle Administration to include information about the requirement in the State's driver
education curriculum and to inform drivers of the requirement through certain signage, and generally relating
to the driving in right-hand lanes of a highway.
SB0147 Motor Vehicles - Operation When Approaching Disabled Stopped, Standing, or Parked Vehicles
This bill requires a driver to change to a non-adjacent lane if it is safe to do so or to slow the speed of the
driver's vehicle to a reasonable speed when approaching from the rear any stopped, standing, or parked vehicle
displaying flashing warning signals, and generally relating to the rules of the road when approaching disabled
stopped, standing, or parked vehicles.
SB0176 Vehicle Laws - Rear-Facing Child Safety Seats - Requirement
This bill requires a person transporting a child under 2 years of age in a motor vehicle to secure the child in a rear-facing child safety seat that complies with certain regulations until the child reaches the weight or height
limit specified by the manufacturer of the child safety seat, and generally relating to rear-facing child safety
seats.
