Compass Complete Package

You can start the online class at 15 years old. The minimum age for students to start behind-the-wheel lessons is 15 years and 9 months. You must obtain a learner's permit before starting behind-the-wheel lessons. To get a driver's license, Maryland requires that every student under the age of 25 complete a minimum of 60 hours of supervised driving with a parent or a supervising driver who is at least 21 years of age and has held a driver's license for three years. Compass Driving Academy will provide six hours of behind-the-wheel training with a certified driving instructor. The last hour administered by the driving school is tested and the students must score 80% or better. If a student does not pass, they must pay for a retest.
Our in-car lesson schedule is busier during the spring and summer months. You can schedule a lesson online by logging into your account. We do not guarantee your completion by a certain date. After the successful completion of six hours of behind-the-wheel lessons, the student's information will be electronically submitted to the MVA. Please allow two business days for the MVA to receive and process the information before scheduling the MVA road test.
